Orthodox Christian Coaching

Leading in Faith, in Love and in the Fear of God

WELCOME!

Dear fellow sojourner in Christ,

You didn’t find this page by accident.

You were led here — by curiosity, by recommendation, or by the Holy Spirit. And you’re wondering about this coaching thing.

Is coaching really appropriate for Orthodox Christians? Yes, it is. But if we enter into a coaching relationship, it will be different than any working relationship you’ve had before.

I won’t be your spiritual father — that’s a different role. (I hope you have one, by the way. If you don’t, that might be something for us to talk about.)

I won’t be your therapist, parent, teacher, judge, boss, nag or giver of advice. You already have people for that.

What will I do? I’ll be your partner in dialogue on this journey in Christ.

I will ask you questions. Lots of questions. Questions designed to help you find clarity about the things you are concerned about right now, in real time. Questions to help you build confidence and commitment. Questions to home in on your authentic self, your needs, talents, opportunities and possible pitfalls. Until you’re sick of questions.

And the solutions you discover will be your own, unique to your person or pastorate.

Come to our conversations, prepared to work. And leave, prepared to act — decisively and productively. You’ll soon see the fruits!

If you’ve read this far, you’re at least a little bit interested. So now you have some choices. You can:

Or you can look around the “general public” pages of our website. Then come back here.

Still have questions? Check out our Clergy page and our Hierarchs’ page. (It’s OK, there are no secrets, and much of the information there applies to you.)

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

In His love,
Father Ian
